Each year our children start a new chapter of growth and adventure in their school environment. As they mature and develop they learn to cope with a changing array of challenges, emotions and decisions. As parents we try to guide them and provide a happy, safe and stable environment to better assist their journey through pre-school to university. The current edition of Back to School is a special feature on "Gifted Children". To begin with we look at what defines a gifted child with our article on Intellectual giftedness. Intellectual giftedness is an intellectual ability significantly higher than average. It is a characteristic of children that motivates differences in school programming. It is thought to persist as a trait into adult life. We also look at "Gifted Education as well as Selective Schools in Australia. We hope you enjoy this edition.
